Indian-Origin Astronaut Sunita Williams Calls International Space Station Her 'Happy Place' Despite 8-Month Extended Stay
Indian-origin NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, currently aboard the International Space Station (ISS), describes it as her "happy place" despite an unexpected mission extension. Originally scheduled for an 8-day stay with fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore after launching on June 5 aboard Boeing’s Starliner, technical issues have extended their mission to 8 months. Despite the challenges, Williams says she enjoys her time in space.
